There are 54 pictures from the White Family Album. From the clothing, we surmised that most were taken in the mid to late 19th century. As you see, many are not identified. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Other pictures are from various Winter and White family members. Two photographers produced some of the photos in album. Nicholas Ghirardini, 122 Westminster St., Providence, RI, 1862-71. H. Q. Morton, artistic photographer, 171 Westminster St., Providence, RI. He operated at this address from 1873-1881. He continued in Providence for many years. A 2 cent Washington RS Proprietary Stamp in the album dates from 1862-71.
The book was bound by the Roberts Brothers of Boston.
The Roberts Brothers were "bookbinders" from 1857 until 1862 (offices successively at: 120 Washington St.; Temple Place; 149 Washington St.) Beginning in 1862 they were also makers of "photograph albums." In 1863, Thomas Niles, Jr. began working at the firm. He became partner some years thereafter and remained with the Roberts Brothers until his death in 1894. By 1873 the firm was listed under the names of just Lewis Roberts and Thomas Niles. After several decades on Washington Street across from Old South Meeting House, the business moved to Somerset Street in the 1880s.
As publishers, the Roberts Brothers made their name in 1868 with the publication of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women, a best-seller. It featured illustrations by Alcott's sister, May Alcott, who also appeared as a character (Amy) in the book.

Cloth on table is same in both photos, Deronza White (1801-1866), husband of Almira Aldrich White, father of Frank Edgar White. Theses are Pat Oakes' Great-great paternal grandparents.
I believe this to be Almira Aldrich White (1817-1904) (Mrs. Deronza White) Mother of Frank Edgar White. It matches very closely a photo of her in White Album.

2. Likely Charles Josiah Allen (1854-1932) brother of Frances “Fannie” Allen Maxcy, Fruit farmer & Auctioneer. A Nathaniel Allen (b. 1782), son of Josiah and Elizabeth Shepherdson Allen, sold property to Eliphalet White in 1820. Nathaniel died on Sept. 14. 1918. There is also a Josiah Allen Jr., son of Josiah and Elizabeth Sherpherson, who is born1784.

Frances Maria Allen (Fannie) Maxcy, b Attlebora (Apr or Mar 23, 1856-Nov 16, 1934 Central Falls, Providence, RI) Her father was Henry Kirk White Allen born 1818 in Attleboro, MA and died 1900 in N. Attlebor, MA. Her mother was Mary Day Blackinton. Her siblings Henry Bradford, Mary Elizabeth, Walter Stewart, Charles Josiah, George Woodward and Albert Lewis.
Allen connection with Whites is likely through her father.

Charles Josiah Allen from Paine Cemetery, Attleboro. This appears to confirm the id of No. 41 man above. Eye color appears the same. However photo at right is difficult to determine eye color. The photo above clearly shows blue eyes.
