In 1840, census she was living with parents, William H. and Fancy Hartley in Copiah County. She is unnamed, however a daughter age under 5 is listed, which would be Frances.
In 1850 census, she was living with parents, William H. and Fancy Hartley in Copiah County. She was listed as age 16 implying 1836 or 1837 birthdate.
In 1860, there is no census record for the Hartley family.
In 1870 census, she was Nancy Shaw and listed as 40 (1830) and living in Hazelhurst with three daughters Nancy, Pricilla, and Christos
In the 1880 census, she is living in Brandywine, Claiborne Co., MS with son William and daughter Priscilla. She was widowed and was 45 years old. Name spelled Franchis Shaw
